Voter Education Internships - Apply Now

Be part of the movement for meaningful election reform and gain valuable experience!

FairVote Minnesota, a nonprofit nonpartisan organization, has internships available this summer and fall for high school and college students to help educate Bloomington voters about using Ranked Choice Voting for the first time in the city council elections on November 2, 2021.

Ranked Choice Voting is a simple but powerful reform that gives voters more choice and more voice, increases political competition, reduces polarization, and creates a more inclusive, diverse and participatory democracy. Learn more at https://www.rcvbloomington.org/

What You’ll Gain

Our internships teach critical skills like interpersonal communication, public speaking, voter engagement, social media, volunteer recruitment, team leadership, advocacy, and program development. Past interns have become campaign managers, policy advocates, law students and political communications experts. For those considering a career in issue advocacy or politics, an internship with FairVote Minnesota will put you ahead of the curve.

What You’ll Do

Interns will assist in our outreach and education efforts to ensure voters are prepared to rank their ballots this election. Specific activities will include staffing events, phone banking, door knocking, and making presentations.
