Make a Plan to Vote & Vote YES on 3!

If we’ve learned anything in 2020, it’s to expect the unexpected! So it’s best to vote early if you can! Whether you vote by mail, early in person, or in person on election day, make sure you have a plan. Here are the options:

  1. Apply for an absentee/mail-in ballot nowMake sure there’s time for election officials to mail your ballot to you and for you to return your ballot by Election Day, Nov. 3:

  • Mail in your completed ballot - To be sure your vote counts, your ballot should be received by Election Day (Tues, Nov. 3). NOTE: While MN instructions indicated that ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day (Nov. 3) and received by your county by Nov. 10, there are potential lawsuits challenging this that may prevent ballots received after election day from being counted.

  • Drop off your completed ballot at the drop box - Place your completed ballot in the prepaid, pre-addressed envelope that was provided with your ballot materials. Drop it off in person by 3pm on Election Day, Nov. 3, at:

    • The drop box at the Bloomington Civic Plaza parking lot, 1800 West Old Shakopee Road. The drop box is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until 8am on Election Day.

    • Hennepin County Elections, 300 S 6th St, Minneapolis, MN 55487

  • Someone else can drop off your ballot to the Hennepin County Elections office or to the Bloomington City Clerk’s Office at Civic Plaza by 3pm on Election Day, Nov. 3. The City Clerk’s Office is open Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. The person delivering the ballot:

    • Must present their ID and sign a form.

    • May not do so for more than 3 voters.

2. Vote early in person at City Hall - In person voting hours at Civic Plaza, 1800 W Old Shakopee Rd, are:

  • Mon - Fri, 8am - 4:30pm through Fri, Oct. 30.

  • Sat., Oct. 31, 9am - 5pm

  • Mon., Nov. 2, 8am - 5pm

3. Vote in person at your polling location on Election Day, Tues, Nov. 3 - 7am-8pm.
